Brute Force Attack 2 is a tower defense game where your goal is to protect an extremely important stream of data from malicious forces. How important you might ask? We don't know for sure, but sources claim that the very fate of the universe depends on it.¹ ²

To accomplish this, you have been granted access to the latest in cyber-security software: guns! Or at least virtual guns that you can use to kill all the malicious virus that seek to potentially end the universe. These guns however, cannot simply be copied and pasted unlike other software, they require unique code that you can only get from killing the invading virus. In short, kill more virus to build more guns.

You can't just kill virus with guns alone, you need something to facilitate the killing using the guns.  Turret assemblies do this, and they are built using various different turret components including the guns, but also base and rotator components that respectively find the targets and aim towards them. The standard cyber-security suit you recieve has a number of these assemblies predefined, but you build your own custom ones if you need to.

Unique structures can further be placed to assist in your defense against the virus, including the Coolant Tower, that increases the firing rate of nearby guns, or the External Recompiler, that increases your income by a small amount.

On occasion, the virus will drop rarer resources, including rare combination of code that you can learn new things from that you turn into Research points, as well as raw, more powerful binaries that you need for more powerful upgrades. If you're lucky, the virus will drop even rarer modules that you can install into your guns in order to grant them powerful abilities.
